As you see a new link is on the side menu to a French Kimi Forum, So if you speak French looks a great place to chat with fellow fans in your own language. Webmasters - Want your link on this site? Drop me an Email! F1 2009 - A first look at the new F1

BMW are the first to take to the track with the new 2009 areo package, the cars are very, very different and especially the ultra wide front wings are going to take a little getting used to (to say the least). Obviously this is only the first test so lots of details will be tweeked before march next year. I reminds me of some sort of street cleaner with this massive thing on the front of the cars. If the wing remains this size first corners of the races are going to be even more interesting than before. As we have seen it is so easy to lose a front wing with the 08 spec designs but in 09 the drivers may have to leave a little more space to be sure of making it through. Brazil 2008 - Wow, What a finish!!!!

Felipe Massa misses out on the title by a fraction, and i'm sure the whole F1 world were on there feet for that one. Mclaren looked to have it then it was Ferraris but in the end it was GLOCK that decided it. Vettel swung it for Massa first, the Ferrari pit crew had started celebrating when into the picture comes Glock crawing along, Lewis steaming past. Championship gone.

1 point agian decided the championship for the second year running. I might as well mention Kimi's podium and gaining 3rd back in the championship but it seems rather irrelavant.

Ferrari however did win the constructors cup, the 16th in their history looking forward to 2009 already, all the 2009 car launches will be posted on this site and hopefully some over cool updates to feed your f1 hunger over the winter. China 2008 - Playing the number two

Another podium which is good but even better is knowing that he really did have the better of Massa throughout the race. I expected for Kimi to be lighter on fuel than Massa in qualifing but happily the reverse happened. Interesting that ITV says about the importance of Kimi messing with Lewis's race and challenging him but shouldn't it be Massa doing it for himself? Kimi looking more ontop of things again which is good to see at the end of the season at least, looking back at this eratic season anyone of the top 4 could have easily been champion this year as the consistancy has been much less than in previous years, the points total of the winner will show that. 7 Points the gap and i'm not too concerned who gets it but I do want Ferrari to get the constructors, i'm just hoping Kimi has a strong race as it will make the winter easier. Japan 2008 - An Optimistic Start turns to a very welcome podium

This season wasn't supposed to go to plan, never has it looked so diffucult to win a grand prix without any complications. But isn't it great, the drama and action in F1 at the moment is as much as it has ever been. Alonso getting 2 wins in a row is just crazy. Just as crazy is how penalties are being handed out, after the race Bourdais has been punished for taking the inside line which massa tripped over him. The decisions have been so tough and even lewis got a penalty for running wide at the first corner, yes it did run kimi off the road which was unfair but never have i seen a punishment for that sort of thing before. Massa's was fair as he was off the track when he hit Lewis.

Also I will mention this now that even numbered years never seemed to favor Kimi. Take 03 which he could have won the championship but for a couple of points. Then 04 was a wash out, 05 again he looked in top form winning seven races but in 06 failed to win one, 07 we all know what happened and 08 a mistifying lack of luck has hit. (Remember earlier this season Kimi was nicely leading the championship believe it or not!) Singapore 2008 - A great spectacle an unusual winner but still NO points for Kimi =(

Another race turned on its head and ALONSO of all people to win from 15th on the grid! So Lewis extends his championship lead to 7 pts over Massa who i would place no blame for the pit drama. We all saw that the green light was on, Ferrari really did shoot themselves in the foot with that system, with Kimi cueing behind it was a double whammy. Then a few laps later while Kimi was chasing 4th (I think) takes too much curb and BANG into the wall, rather imbarassing. I wasn't throwing as heavy stuff around my room this time as of his situation in the championship, my focus is now on 2009 but I obviously still want to see Kimi up there at the front.

P.S Sorry for the late post if you visit reguarly as I just started university this week =P KimiStuff Website is closing

Its a big shame as it was a really good site and forum but after it changed to .net the forum never really took off agian. The real reason is purely the interest of the site owner has disappeared. Italy 2008 - No score agian

A very strange qualifing, Did Kimi have the same problem as Lewis? I didn't quite understand why he was also down there in 14th place maybe he just didn't get a lap in early. The Ferrari is clearly not as good as the Mclaren in the wet and in this championship the way it has gone it has been a disadvantage. Compared to recent seasons the weather has played its part in a much bigger way this year. Kimi probabily will be in a support role for the championship but with things the way they are Ferrari would be lucky to have both cars running smoothly at the top. Venturing into the unknown next week for the first night race in singapore which I am looking forward to and happy for vettels first win. The conditions clearly just all come together for toro rosso, the win was there for the taking and they did just that. Belgium 2008 - Another miracle needed!

Well, I was utterly speechless thats why I didn't post this till today (monday). Basically it was always going to be all or nothing unfortunately this time it was nothing. And best of all after all of that Lewis got penalised! So 6 points further off the championship lead so that makes it 19 which is going to be just as difficult as last year and luck will need to return for Kimi to retain his title. After a mistake from lewis on lap 2 Kimi did lead which was all good but really he didn't have the pace that I really would have wanted to see. He was basically matched in the first and second stints but with the hard tires Lewis quite easily caught him. As for the incident I do believe that it was harsh on Lewises side, maybe he should have given a little more space but it wouldn't have made much difference. Gutted probabily dosn't describe my feelings, if only it was 2 laps less. But there is still the chance for the title if Kimis results improve, as last year F1 is unpredictable and if it is mathmatically possible then Kimi is still in with a chance. Kubica amazingly though has moved ahead in the points after 2 retirements for Kimi =s. Vote for F1iceman in the 1kimi fansite awards

Europe 2008 - Confusion through the smoke

It remeinds me of pre-france last year when things ferrari seemed to be making things far more difficult than they needed to going backwards off the grid. Then in france 07 the start improved took lewis off the gird and won 2 races. This turn around HAS to happen agian in Belgium else Kimi's chances at of defending his title are seriously shaken, it is a race he has won for the last 3 times of f1 visiting. As for this race it was rather dull to be honest, the amount of field spread in the first couple of laps was massive and the only things to wake us up were the dramas of Ferrari pit stops. Then the second consecutive engine failure for Ferrari to put pay to another rather dismal weekend for Kimi. Everything crossed for good form in Belgium. XXXXXXXXXXXX Site News August

As you can see the site is now reached ultimate status so I just gotta check out if the ads will be removed. Also Firefox 3 users will notice that the videos will not display as I wanted I will soon put a link underneath each to the page on youtube.

Also worth a mention if you can get your hands on a copy of F1 Racing magazine as this month is a speical Ferrari issue and includes a interview with Kimi and lots of other Ferrari content.

Other Kimi news as you may have seen he is getting his own set of Finnish stamps with several images of him in and out the car. Hungary 2008 - The Mclaren 1-2 that never was ... thankgod

What a grand prix! Just when the race was looking to be dominated by Mclaren. Firstly Massas pace which you would have to say was probabily 1-2 tenths faster than the Mclaren which was against the feeling of most. Lewis then ran out of luck with a puncture and was said to be fighting his way back through the pack. Yeah right they just all pitted. THe commentators on ITV really got on my nerves a couple of times that race actually! They kept making name mistakes and agian were very quick to slag off Kimi and Ferrari. Unlucky for Massa 3 laps from the end allowed Lewis to extend his lead to 5 points but over Kimi instead of Massa which is good. All in all a good race looking forward to the next and so glad it didn't go Hamiltons way as the press would have been unbearable.

Oh yeah great to see Heikki win and fantastic drive from Timo =) Germany 2008 - Another Blow for Ferrari

With all the resources and previous data how can you go the wrong way on the set-up? I don't know but it has cost a few points. The safety car didn't help either but it was nice to see some good overtaking by Kimi in the last laps. Another bad point is Kimi's run of fastest laps has ended after 6 fastest laps in a row! The record was and still is 7 consecutive fastest laps set by Alberto Ascari in 1952/3. Kimi is the only driver on 6 consecutive fastest laps and Fangio and Schumacher have 5. Interestingly it was Heidfeld that set fastest lap in Germany. So seven points behind now put more worringly how good lewis looked. Even after the safety car how easily he disposed of Massa. Why did massa just pull over? It would have been much better for our point of view if he took Lewis on and they both retired, even if they didn't collide it would have been nice to see him make a fight about it.

Also the ITV commentators were rather harsh on the Ferrari Drivers saying that Ferrari should be looking for a driver that could do the job properly. Rather harsh GRRRRRR! Asl Great Britain 2008 - Costly Decision

From third on the grid Kimi was looking set to close the gap to his championship rivals. Then the british weather turned for the race and that always makes it impossible to have a completely smooth race. Especially with Kimi's recent luck in these conditions. After Hamilton got the jump at the start which was significant as Kimi got boxed in by webber which allowed lewis to pull out a lead. Kimi was in second right up to the first stint where he closed the gap using fresher tyres. Then the nail in the British GP coffin for Kimi, not changing them tyres. If they had he should have been at least second if not have won. So the rest of the race was recovery mode and try to score as many points as possible. After sliding off the track a couple of times Kimi still managed to pick up a few places ending the race in forth as Lewis strolled accross the line with over a minute to his next competitor. Still a great race and one of high tension and it didn't do my nerves any good!

The after effects though aren't that bad, it would have been worse if lewis had been leading the championship prior to the race. 3 Drivers are now equal on points so looking on the bright sidee Kimi is 5 points closer to the championship lead than he was before! France 2008 - A little bit too hot in the exhaust

After grabbing a good pole on the Saturday the race was going perfecty until the problem exhaust come apart. This lost Kimi the lead and a buundle of time, unfortunate but with Hamilton having a pointless weekend I was just thankful that Kimi finished the race and bagged some points. 5 Points behind Massa is manageable and it was a throughly enjoyable race. Interesting how bad BMW looked especially in qualifying after Canada, maybe the Hangovers didn't leave for several days! And days in F1 is a long time. General News - Kimi Buys Sharon Stones Corvette

In a Monaco charity auction for Aids Kimi won the bid for sharon stones 1974 corvette for £160,000. With only 4 miles on the clock it wasn't exactly used alot! Canada 2008 - Just another BMW 1-2!

Qualifying was good overall for Kimi getting 3rd on the grid so no reason for panic. Although as I expected qualifying was going to be blown into irrelavance by the time the race started. The track surface was not as bad on race day as I thought with only Alonso hitting the wall and piquets spin. The temporary surface done its job at the hairpin.

Now onto the main point, Kimi, well if you need anymore proof that F1 is unpredictable look no further. The infamous pit lane exit has claimed more victims. Lewis steaming into the back of Kimi which I think is the first time the two drivers have banged wheels. In terms of the effect of the incident the greater loss is for Lewis; the race win was looking good so he had a good chance to extend his championship lead (unless Kimis pace which he had prior to pitting was maintained) his pride and confidence will take a hit and also in France he will be no higher than P11 on the grid. For Kimi really the damage done is the points lost to Massa and the BMW's.

However after Canada its France and GB, two tracks which Kimi excelled on Last year so if he can repeat the feat again this year he will be looking very strong indeed. Great result for BMW though its because of the manic time the last 2 races especially is why they have got so many points but still a threat at the moment. I think Ferrari and Mclaren will probabily over take them again on points as the championship wears on but by the looks of thing they won't be too far behind at the end. Website News - June 08 - The new site is up and running

Phew since I have broken up from school I have probabily spent far to much time getting the new site ready but it is here and done. At the moment I just wanted to get it online as I made the site private for a day or so. Most of the work is visual and i now will be working on adding more new content and improving what i have got. Rain today for Kimi fans not a good thing. Apart from the obvious collision with Sutil Kimi's pace was nowhere in the race. Probabily lots of factors that contribute to that but he never really looked thereatining all race. This one is defentely one to forget and move on to canada with a fresh mind. Kimi is now back chasing the championship lead, 3 points behind Lewis and 1 ahead of Massa. F1 to one - Kimi Raikkonen

A little treat for you this week, a feature from offical f1 magazine (June 2003) with a one word interview with Kimi. The reason well the site is offically 2 years old this month! Also i am underway developing a fully new website which will probabily be online within the next month or so. Turkey 2008 - Another Double ferrari podium

A very average weekend really for Kimi, after giving Kovalinen a puncture and damaging his front wing we was unable to push forward agian. Lewis looked pretty handly especially after taking massa he easily pulled away. I would have much preferred to see Kimi overtake Lewis on track but he still only loses 2 points of the championship lead and theres always next weekend to get back on track. Unsure who will have the advantage at monaco this year. Mclaren were strong last year but as has been said the Ferrari is the fastest in the slower corners. Hopefully it will be a more interesting watch than last years grand prix which failed to entertain to it's usual standards. But for this weekend 6 points more to the tally. Site News May 2008

Another milestone reached, 3000 hits and looking most forward to the news that ultimate piczo members sites are made advertisement free! In terms of what coming soon i have started to add some more pages for ideas but haven't had the time to put it together but lots of new stuff will be posted within the next few weeks. I have also seen the most people visit within a day ever, I saw 12 people within one day online which is super =) Spain 2008 - Kimi Wins Ahead of Massa and Lewis

The title says it all, quicker than Massa in P1 and quicker than both Renaults in P2. In terms of the race, which was virtually finished after the quali sessions in terms of Kimi. Bad accident for Heikki and hopefully he will be back in turkey. Looking ahead this is one of the biggest title leads Kimi has had and Ferrari are normally strong at istanbul (especially Massa). After that it is monaco which mclaren whre dominant last year and then Canada which was one of the highlights of 2007 in terms of action (and incidently won the best sporting event at the BAFTA's). So all is good overall and looking very strong for kimi with 2 wins out of 4. Bahrain 2008 - An excellent result despite problems for Ferrari

Upto qualifing Ferrari have been quick in the practices sessions and Hamilton had a crash into the barriers in practice 2. Qualifing seemed very strange, the first two sessions going to Massa nothing strange about that but it was the size of the margin he had. On low fuel he was 0.3 ahead of a Toyota in Q1 and 0.6 ahead of the rest in Q2. As for Kimi a rather average looking qualifing with the result being 4th on the Grid. He has said that he wasn't completely satisfied with the balance.

Race day turned out fairly rutine for Ferrari as Massa got the lead from Kubica on the start line then lead the rest of the way through. Lewis's poor start letting Kimi into 3rd only to be Jumped by Kovalinen ... who he got back later and then also overtaken Kubica for 2nd where he finished. Lewis having the accident which the ITV commentators where being quite harsh on Alonso for that one i think. It wasn't as though he crashing into the back of Alonso right in the corner or in instant after. I think the mclaren just got a better exit and Lewis didn't move over quick enough. BMW's pace was clear to see that they have made massive improvements, i wouldn't be surprised to see them win a race this year if Ferrari and Mclaren falter slighty. Malaysia 2008 - Reversal of fortunes

What a total opposite of a grand prix, stating with Kimi and Ferrari from looking inreliable and making silly mistakes to looking like they had been doing it all season long. Shame Massa had his problem as it would have gave more points to the team, encouaging to see the pace Kimi had in a fair fight agianst massa prior to his off. Starting from 2nd on the grid also was crucial after a blitzing 2nd qualifing the final as Kimi said himself that they couldn't find the grip to get pole. As for Mclaren they had a relativly poor weekend and they seemed to be within the BMW teratory rather than Ferrari. Im glad that ITV didn't defend lewis over the penalites given by the stewards for impeading Fernando and Nick. Glad to see not all of toyotas funds are being poured down the drain and i think they deserve a break. All is looking good for bahrain as only ferrari and toyota tested there earlier in the year. Mclaren i got the feeling seem to have the same problem that plagued ferrari for some of last season; that when in turbulant air they cannot overtake as hamilton spent so long behind the Red bull. Or maybe they were just slow!? Australia 2008 - A weekend to forget for Ferrari

Qualifing started well and everything according to plan until the fuel pressure problem hit kimi. He stopped 100m short of the pit lane entrance where he could have got it repaired. The race also started well kimi making up 8 places on the first lap. Then getting stuck behind Rubens for far too long didn't help. A couple of silly mistakes overtaking due to lack of concentration. Then to wrap it all up a some sort of mechanical failure at the end. Luckily the point was still gained due to such a high attrition rate.

On another note glad to see Rosberg on the podium and Im liking the Heikki - Mclaren look, i have alot of respect for them and wouldn't mind to see him win. Bourdias also played a safe race to get STR some points and BMW's pace looked very good. Will it be a sign of things to come? Bring on Malaysia for Kimi and put this behind them but with only a week to get sorted fingers crossed. 2 Attempts at a new header failed!

ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH! I have tried 2 navigation bars for the top of this page and both don't function as they are supposted to, the one you see at teh top at the moment should display more links when each header is highlighted. All the HTML is in the body of the code so I thought this one might work. No luck :|, Dam Piczo!!!

On the up side the videos page has been updated with lots of new videos, it now also takes advantage of the iframe like the links page. Makes it much easier to update and get rid of old banned videos :) 2008 Testing finshed and Australia is round the corner

The break from F1 seemed as long as normal, celebrating Kimis championship made it a ittle easier. 2008 is looking to be another battle between Mclaren and Ferrari with an incredibly tight mid-field. Will alsonso's switch back to Renault prove fruitful? Will honda find a gear? Will Ferrari have found a few more tenths than mclaren over the winter? Will Ron have any hair left after 07? all will be answered in Aus.
Updates to the homepage as you can see, the rest of the pages havn't got this header, the picture was made in photoshop as i downloaded the free trial! Other changes listed below. F1Iceman site currently most relevant serach

I searched for F1 this morning in the piczo search function (which i think is a super idea) and i was surprised to see my site was already there. I then searched formula 1 and it was still at the top in which there were thousands of other sites. :) Although does that mean there are hardly any other F1 websites on Piczo?

KImi has been at the in the top 3 of the time sheets this week in Valencia. Topping them on Thurday and 3rd on Wednesday to Massa and Heikki and second to Massa on Tuesday.

UPDATE: BAHRAIN TESTING - Kimi goes fastest on both the Monday and Tuesday tests easily out-pacing the Toyotas and Ferrari test driver Badoer. His time of 1:20.595 is quick even through there was no mclaren to compare. He was working on race simulations.

Kimi also is the the cover feature of F1 Racing Magazine, which gives an insightful piece on Kimi and raises some good points on his future and past. If you can get a copy i recommend it. Kimi Lastest

Kimi has expressed his like for the car and all seems positive at this early stage. Also i was reading F1racing's latest issue and discovered something that reinforced what was thought previously that Kimi wasn't enjoying F1 life at mclaren. The PR and sponsor events were never Kimi's thing and at Ferrari he is far less constricted and is able to do his thing.

Site news: I am making a advert-video to put on youtube to spread the word of this site so if that works should be an exciting time, fingers crossed. Expect it to be posted within a couple of weeks. Visit the f1iceman Kimi/ Ferrari 2008 Website

Fernando is back to Renault and Heikki moves to Mclaren. Obviously the grass wasn't greener on the other side and Alonso has retreated back to his old turf at Renault after a rough 2007 with Mclaren. I can't see Renault being in a championship winning position again personally but then again who knows. As for Heikki to Mclaren Ron does like his blonde Fins doesn't he! it will be interesting to see the comparison between the two team mates Lewis and Heikki. I would musch prefer to see Heikki show lewis the way but with lewis already settled in an he is an undeniable talent it won't happen overnight.
